I am a 27-year-old PADI Divemaster and underwater photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa.
My underwater photography journey began during my divemaster training in 2020, when I found myself being drawn to False Bay's smaller critters.
I started using a cheap action camera and quickly got very frustrated by the blurry and barely recognisable macro photos I was getting. This frustration sparked an obsessive desire to get better photos, which has only grown over the last 4 years.
In this time, I have had my work featured on the Sea Point Promenade, the cover of the Alert Diver Southern Africa magazine, as well as in the Southern African Sea Slugs Guide.
I have also been shortlisted for the 2023 Close Up Photographer of the Year and the 2023 South African Photographer of the Year photography competitions, and placed 3rd in the Orms x Canon Wonders Through Focus competition.
I tend to favour the more elusive species with my photography, and spending my dives looking for them makes the whole experience much more rewarding.
Come join me on one of my photography missions to experience my perspective of the ocean!
